What NAB never does
- Send an email or text asking for personal information
- Ask for your card PIN or full card details, or ask you to leave your card out for collection
- Ask you to withdraw cash so it can be "checked"
- Ask you to transfer money to keep it safe
- Ask you to download programs from its site
- Send unexpected texts containing links
How NAB is fighting back
NAB says it stopped or recovered more than $48 million heading to scammers between October 2024 and March 2025, almost $2 million a week. Customers abandoned $195 million in payments after real-time scam alerts. NAB has also removed links from its text messages and blocks payments to some high-risk crypto exchanges (NAB).
